Sara holds an M.A. in Foreign Languages, Cultures, and Literatures with a concentration in Hispanic Studies from Virginia Tech, as well as an M.A.T. with a concentration in Secondary Education from James Madison University. In addition, Sara received her B.A. in Modern Foreign Language with a concentration in Spanish and minors in Pre-Professional Secondary Education and Teaching English as a Second Language from James Madison University.
Sara has taught Spanish at both the high school and college levels, most recently at Elon University in North Carolina. She has also taught ESL at Virginia Tech to students from all around the world including the countries of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, China, South Korea, Chile, and Venezuela.
Sara's academic interests include teaching pedagogy, specifically the methodologies of second language acquisition.
