Kate Neff holds a B.A. in English and Spanish from Grove City College; as an undergraduate, she studied in Valencia, Spain. She received her M.A. in Spanish from the University of Virginia in 2008 and has taught a range of beginning and intermediate Spanish courses at the University of Virginia and Longwood University.
She spent the past four years teaching 7th and 8th grade Spanish at a private school in Rockville, Maryland, where she directed the school’s exchange program, led student trips to Peru, Spain, and Costa Rica, and deepened her interest in foreign language pedagogy, particularly communicative and proficiency-based instruction.
Her interests also include 20th century Latin American and Spanish poetry, comparative literature, and translation.
