Ms. Hogg earned a B.A. in International Relations concentrating in Latin America from the College of William and Mary, pursued studies in Spanish and Latin American literature at both the University of Guadalajara, Mexico and the University of Virginia, and earned a M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Virginia.

Ms. Hogg has taught classes at UVA as a graduate teaching assistant and adjunct faculty in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, instructed adult GED classes in Spanish and GED classes for English language learners, and taught a variety of subjects at the high school level. She holds teaching endorsements in Spanish, Special Education, Social Studies, Technology Education, and Business Education. Outside of education, Ms. Hogg has worked as a bilingual editor on the Code of Puerto Rico and in private household service. She also has training in interpreting in the community, medical, and legal settings.

During free times, Ms. Hogg enjoys reading, photography, spending time with her husband and dog, and traveling to both domestic and international destinations. She volunteers as a pharmacy tech at the Charlottesville Free Clinic.
