Coronavirus updates for students and faculty

There is a lot of information and misinformation about COVID-19 (Coronavirus), a virus that was delcared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 12, 2020. The university will take every measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and community members in the face of this pandemic.

As of March 12, classes are suspended until Thursday, March 19. At that point, all classes will move to online modules rather than face-to-face instruction.

MA and PhD Comprehensive Exam Schedules

Written exams for the MA comprehensive exam will begin the week of March 16. Written exams for the PhD qualifying exams will begin the week of March 23.

Oral exams will begin one week after the written exams: the week of March 23 for MA candidates, and the week of March 30 for PhD candidates. PhD students will also deliver a clase magistral as part of their exam portfolio.

For a master copy of all exams, please see Linda Newman in the main office.

Good luck, students!!!
